THE STORY

The project's underlying idea stems from the intuition of recovering used oak barrels , objects that have completed their functional cycle in the world of wine but which still hold immense material , aesthetic , and emotional value. From this desire to regenerate what carries a story, Winetage was born: a brand capable of intertwining memory, design , and contemporary craftsmanship.

THE DESIGN

Each barrel is unique, just like the wine it holds. The oak, imbued with aromas and tannins, tells the story of the passage of time through its color, grain, and the nuances it develops with each vintage. It always retains its original curvature: a distinctive feature impossible to replicate.

From these two elements – uniqueness and material memory – every Winetage creation takes shape.

Designers don't force the material: they observe it, respect its history, and transform it into the expressive basis of their products. It is precisely these unique characteristics that guide the creative process and make each piece unique.

Alongside wood, carefully selected materials help shape the identity of all Winetage products. Metals, high-tech organic materials, and natural stones interact with oak without overpowering it, creating visual and tactile harmonies. Marble plays a particularly important role: Tuscan Carrara and Piedmontese Rosewood, both sourced from processing scraps and cores. These materials, like oak, also enjoy a second life. Two master stonemasons, drawing on a family tradition of craftsmanship, reinterpret each fragment, carefully selecting it and integrating it into the Winetage collections through a simple yet sophisticated aesthetic.

The result is a series of products capable of telling the journey of the material , transformed by time and then elevated by design .
